Hello Insta friends ! Hope you all had a great start to a new week. Today, I am presenting Ragi Ladoos .

Ragi or Finger Millet is a millet that can help guard against health issues like diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, osteoporosis in adults, while it makes for a rich source of calcium, iron, complex carbs, protein and other nutrients for growing children.

Studies have shown that consuming ragi on daily basis helps in dealing with conditions like insomnia, anxiety, and depression. Also the amino acids present in ragi work as a natural relaxant. Ragi could also be very beneficial for people with regular migraine attacks.

So lets get going & make these super healthy ladoos for the chilly winter days ahead.
Adding 2 tbsp of ghee, roast 1 cup of Ragi flour (in a heavy bottomed pan) on low flame until its turns aromatic.Now add powdered cardamom (a tsp) & jaggery powder (1/2 cup) .Break lumps of jaggery if any with spatula & mix well. Switch off the flame.Roast nuts (almonds, cashews, peanuts etc) of your choice , cool & grind to a powder ( total powdered nuts should at the max be 3/4 of Ragi flour).
Mix roasted Ragi & powdered nuts.Slightly warm this mixture & add melted ghee if required.Shape the mixture with hands into ladoos. Remember to monitor the temperature of the mixture, so as to not burn your hands while making ladoos .Store in an airtight container & enjoy with a cup of tea or milk in the morning .
